Self Love and Self Worth

The Universe Can only Give us What We Believe We are Worthy of Receiving”

SELF LOVE AND SELF WORTH ARE THE GOLDEN KEY TO LIVING A SUCCESSFUL HAPPY LIFE

What is Self Love? We hear so much about it yet what are the mechanics of actually loving yourself? To love yourself is to open to receive that part of you that is LOVING. This is your true self or you essence. Can you allow yourself to receive from this loving part of you today? The key word here is RECEIVE. Most people refuse to receive what is right, good, loving and kind about themselfves and push this goodness and love away. What would it feel like if you were satisfied with you every day? Being and feeling satisfied with you is self love and it is also the highest vibration of you. Feelings of gratitude, appreciation and compassion for yourself are all ways you can start loving yourself today.

So what woud happen if you were able to fully love and approve of yourself? Things start to happen and show up in your life. You see the universal field of all responds to this love and it does take time so you have to be patient and kind as you start dialing in more self love. Eventually, things like a new business idea, a new relationship, or creating better boundaries in a way that honors you. Self Love could show up as a move to another location that would open you to receive your higher good. Self Love could show up as the start of a new education or career. Self Love could be as simple as enhancing your day to day experiences in life through starting a meditation or yoga practice, a new exercise routine or cleaning up your diet.   The people, situations and events in your life are all a reflection of your ability to love (or not love) and approve of yourself. The more you can dial this up, the more good things will show up for you. Simple things like feeling more beautiful and eating healthier, or even being more tolerant and kind of others. The world around you cannot change and give you the good you desire unless YOU are willing to change the way you feel about yourself, your relationships and your present circumstances. It begins and ends with you.

Healing Your Inner Child

One of the ways to experience and learn more about self love is Inner Child Work. This was brought to the attention of the public by best selling author Louise Hay, founder of Hay House Publishing. In her book, You Can Heal Your Life she reveals the importance of self love and healing all parts of ourselves that felt unloved and unworthy as children. What is happening in your life today is from repeating a pattern you learned as a child and you are familiar with.

As children we learned how to feel about ourselves and about life by the way the adults around us treated us. We listened and absorbed that environment. Then we entrained to it and it became our operating system. When we grow up we are most likely still running those programs and have a tendency to re-create the emotional and mental environment of our early home life and treat ourselves the exact same way our parents treated us.  You might have a boss that treats you the way your mom, dad, sister or brother treated you. It’s familiar.  Or you might be in a relationship that brings up familiar feelings in you from your childhood. Or you might be in lack with never enough money or time to relax and do some self care. Again this is familiar for you.

Inner child work is about changing the emotional and mental pattern you developed and learned as a child.   This is very simple work, yet it requires persistence and daily practice and your willingness to change into something new and different. Change is not easy for us humans, we like comfort and what is normal and familiar.

Today, you can start with the affirmation “I love and approve of myself”. Repeat this to yourself quietly for just one day and see if you feel better about yourself. At night when your falling asleep place your hands on your heart and say “I love and approve of myself, my body, and my life”. By repeating this affirmation you also withdraw your attention from the world around you and place it on YOU. This is the real place to be. At home with yourself. Focusing on yourself and keeping your thoughts on loving you is calming, nurturing and satisfying. We all desire to give and receive love yet sometimes it is difficult for us to love people and situations around us, so loving yourself is the perfect answer. Just for today, Love Yourself and watch your world lighten up.
